3rd Grade Students Discovering Fables Through Art and Imagination
A fable is a short story that portrays animals with human characteristics. At the end of every fable, there is an important message we learn, called the "moral".
Our 3rd grade students are diving deep into the world of classic fables and learning a lot about these special stories. In this class, students had the chance to create the characters from the famous fable "The Lion and the Mouse", which teaches us that no act of kindness is ever wasted and that even the smallest creature can make a big difference.
Students used printed pictures of the animals and popsicle sticks to make beautiful puppets, allowing them to use their imagination, speak, and play as if they were part of the story. This activity was a fun way to help them remember the story and explore art while coloring and gluing the puppets. They loved it!
