2nd grade students and another view on sports: inclusiveness
The sophomore students had an unsual activity during their English class. They are studying sports and well-being but in a different perspective, which means that they are finding connections between sports and inclusiveness.
To research and propose new ideas on how physical activities can include different people and bring social benefits, they were invited to feel firsthand how it is for the blind people to practice basketball and to carry out some basic activities.
Besides the health and physical advantages, sports are important for society to improve and foster social interaction, cooperation, team building and a sense of belonging. However many groups are still excluded and face multiple challenges when it comes to sport.
Let's prepare our students for a better, inclusive world.
